Every year Dr. Oz brings us a great new weight loss plan, and 2015 is no exception! This is the Total 10 Rapid Weight Loss Plan, and over 2 million women have already tried it. Dr. Oz’s road-testers not only lost weight on Dr. Oz’s Total 10 Rapid Weight Loss Plan, but felt less bloated and craved sweets and carbs less — all while feeling satisfied! Dr. Oz created this diet to help the millions of people struggling to lose weight while dealing with obstacles such as inflammation and hormones. Dr. Oz’s Total 10 Rapid Weight Loss Plan is a two-week program, with a follow-up maintenance program.

The hot water with lemon every morning aids in good digestion and detoxification. You’ll have a protein-packed smoothie for breakfast, with added whey protein for a weight-loss boost. Lunch and dinner will also focus on protein, in the form of eggs, chicken, turkey, or fish. Protein requires more calories to digest and helps you build calorie-burning lean muscle. Dr. Oz’s Total 10 Rapid Weight Loss Plan does not allow wheat, most dairy, refined sugar, or processed foods, so you’ll feel more energized and lose weight more quickly. You won’t feel deprived, because you can fill up on as many veggies as you want and sip a warm vegetable detox broth throughout the day.

Several foods are prohibited while following Dr. Oz’s Total 10 Rapid Weight Loss Plan:

  • No wheat
  • No dairy, except Greek yogurt and whey protein
  • No white or refined sugar
  • No processed foods
  • No alcohol
  • No artificial sweeteners — i.e. no diet foods or diet sodas

Not to worry though, you’ll still have plenty to eat! Here’s what is allowed each day:

  • When you wake: Drink a cup of hot water with lemon. One cup of coffee or green tea is allowed, if needed. Also take a multivitamin. Dr. Oz recommends that you choose one with 1000IU of vitamin D, such as Garden of Life’s Vitamin Code Raw One for Women .
  • Breakfast: Smoothie — Choose from the 3 recipes below
  • Carbs: 1/2 cup (cooked) of quinoa – eliminate this for even faster weight loss!
  • Protein: 12oz of fish, poultry, or eggs
  • Fats: Choose moderate amounts of healthy fats such as coconut oil, olive oil, and avocado
  • Vegetables: Unlimited veggies, as long as they are non-starchy (examples: broccoli, celery, cucumber, mushrooms, onions, squash, peppers, greens)
  • Detox Broth: Unlimited (see recipe below)
  • Optional: 1 cup of plain 2% Greek yogurt
  • Two Snacks: Choose from hummus, pickles, one serving of raw unsalted nuts (about 22 nuts) or 2 T of nut butter, or 1 apple
  • Every night: Soak in a detox bath nightly. Add 1 cup of baking soda and 2 cups of Epsom salt to this bath.
  • Evening: Do not eat between the hours of 8pm-8am.

  • 1 c coconut milk (unsweetened)
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 c pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 1 t pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 t vanilla extract
  • 2 T  Vanilla Whey Protein
  • 1 T flaxseed oil
  • 1/2 c ice

Dr. Oz’s Total 10 Rapid Weight Loss Detox Broth Recipe

This broth should be made in advance, and you can drink unlimited amounts throughout the day.

Ingredients:

  • 1 gallon water
  • 1 c winter squash, cubed
  • 1 c root vegetables (i.e. parsnips, turnips, rutabaga), cubed
  • 2 c greens (i.e. chard, collard greens, kale, parsley, beet greens, dandelion), chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1/2 c cabbage
  • 2 inches of ginger, sliced into ½-inch pieces
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • sea salt to taste

Method:

Boil all ingredients on low for about an hour. Allow broth to cool and then strain. Discard cooked vegetables. Store in the fridge in a sealed glass container, and reheat servings as needed. This recipe makes 8 cups of broth and you can drink 3-4 cups a day. If you don’t have time to make the broth, substitute organic, low-sodium vegetable broth from a box.

  1. Hello, nice write up. You said”for Every night, soak self in a detox bath nigthtly. Addind 1 cup of baking soda and 2 cups of Epstom salt to the bath. How do i go about this? How do i acheive this? cause I don’t have one(A bath tub) . I only Ve a bathroom ( with d floor not tub). Thank you.
